The Blood Ritual

Prep Time: 1-2 mins
Servings: 1 cocktail (rocks glass)
Inspiration: This one goes out to my close friend Patrick. He is one of those inspirational tech entrepreneurs who has inspired my passion for the science behind food & drinks. I always had a love for mezcal and this one took that love to the next level.



  1. 2 ounces of mezcal
  2. 3 drops of Chocolate Bitters
  3. 1 drop of Angostura Bitters
  4. 1/4 ounce agave syrup
  5. If you have it, a grapefruit peel is a nice touch
  6. 1 Capsco Smoky Infuser


Combine the following ingredients into a shaker or mixing glass

  1. Add in mezcal
  2. Add in Angostura and Chocolate Bitters
  3. Add in Agave Syrup
  4. Mix/stir everything together
  5. Strain into rocks glass
  6. Squeeze grapefruit peel lightly and express oils over drink and rub peel over rim of glass
  7. Drop peel into your drink
  8. Drop in 1 Smoky Infuser for ~30 seconds (taste and decide if you want to add more heat)
